Acupuncture
Acupuncture is believed to have originated in China over 2,000 years ago. Early practitioners used sharpened stone instruments and bamboo before the development of fine metal needles. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), health is associated with the flow of Qi (chee), a vital energy believed to travel through pathways known as meridians.
Asia has spread the knowledge of acupuncture, evolving various styles. Practitioners in Japan has developed their own unique techniques that separates their own from China’s tradition.
Europe was introduced to acupuncture in the 17th century from medical exchanges with China and Japan. Acupuncture traditionally focuses on the principles of Qi and meridians, whereas the Western acupuncture focuses on neural stimulation and the natural responses of the body, interpreting effects from anatomy and physiology.
Acupuncture has been used to treat a variety of issues, such as blood pressure, chronic pain, stress, anxiety and more.
I look forward to providing this service soon.
